About
The availability of location services enables comprehensive forest land information
for all types of forest lands in the state. The Forest Land Information Decision Support
System (FLI-DSS) provides extensive coverage of various forest lands, including Notified
Forests, DLC & Revenue Forests, Diverted Forest Lands, Protected Areas, Sanctuaries,
Eco-Sensitive Zones (ESZ), and Wildlife Corridors. FLI-DSS integrates multiple forest
land data layers with map data sources such as Survey of India (SoI), Forest Survey of
India (FSI), and High-Resolution Satellite Imagery (HRSI) ortho imagery. This
integration allows for map-based analysis to generate decision support inferences on
conservation, protection, change assessment, and forest management. The system
facilitates the dissemination of map-based, location-centric forest land information,
data analytics, and reporting, aiding field officials and decision-makers in efficient
decision-making. It supports Area of Interest (AoI) based map analysis, assisting in
decisions on appropriate forestry interventions to reduce forest degradation and enhance
growth. FLI-DSS systematically generates decision support system (DSS) reports,
detailing the involvement of forest land, ESZ, National Park, and Sanctuary boundaries
within the targeted AoI. These reports support administrative decisions on proposed
developmental projects, ensuring informed and effective management of forest
resources.
